Carbon Footprint
Step 01
Registration
The interested companies must fill in the registration form and send the scanned copy to the email id provided. The registration would be open for 90 days from the date of announcement of the program.
Step 02
Audit Planning
Participating companies are grouped by location to schedule and organize audit activities efficiently.
Step 03
Virtual Meeting
Auditors and company representatives meet virtually to confirm the availability of carbon footprint data with the industries, else adequate time would be given to collect the same prior to the audit.
Step 04
Facility Audit
Auditors conduct an on-site assessment to evaluate carbon reduction initiatives, verify data, and gather inputs for scoring and recognition, followed by a closure meeting. For industries with revenue exceeding ₹250 Crores, the audit and closure meeting will be completed on the next day.
Step 05
Audit Results
Preliminary observations will be shared during the closure meeting. Final recognition category shall be communicated as audit report within 10 days of completion of audit.
Step 06
Audit Report
A detailed audit report with observations, scores, recognition status, and improvement areas will be issued within 10 days.
Step 07
Follow-Up Services
Follow up Services- will be done twice a year, to ensure that the participating unit has implemented or are in the various stages of implementing the suggestions provided by the auditors.
Step 08
Awards Program
Companies are recognized with Silver, Gold, or Platinum awards at the Excellence in Carbon Footprint Reduction Conclave 2027, based on their results from the site audit.
